April 4 weather: Sunny skies before more rain hits southern Ontario [Video]

It should be a warm and sunny start to Friday but there’s more rain on the way for the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario.

Environment Canada says to expect a mix of sun and cloud early on Friday turning to sunny skies towards the afternoon.

The daytime high will be around 13 C in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, and Hamilton, but will be a cooler 9 C in Oshawa, Peterborough, and Niagara Falls.

But the weather agency says there’s increasing cloudiness and rain expected into the evening and after midnight.

Winds are expected to be around 30 km/h and gusting up to around 50 km/h in the evening.

Looking ahead to the weekend and Saturday has more warm but wet weather on the way, Environment Canada says.
