Sumter Police are searching for 15-year-old Khalese Benjamin, described as a frequent runaway. She has been missing from her home since early Sunday morning.

SUMTER, S.C. — Sumter Police are searching for a 15-year-old girl who has been reported missing previously.

The department said officers and family members are looking for Khalese Benjamin, who they described as a “frequent runaway” after she was discovered missing from her British Lane home around 2 a.m. on Sunday.

Benjamin is about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 138 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and gray tights. She may also be wearing a black hair bonnet over box braids.

Anyone with information about her location can contact the Sumter Police Department at 803-436-2700 or, in an emergency, dial 911.
