Law enforcement officials in Canada are investigating an incident involving a Tesla electric vehicle in Vancouver, where a two-pound rock crashed through the windshield and injured a pregnant woman in the passenger seat.

The event occurred on the evening of March 30 and is now under scrutiny as authorities assess whether the act was intentional.

According to Vancouver police, the Tesla was traveling northbound on Nanaimo Street, near East 27th Avenue, when the rock suddenly struck the windshield.

The object, which penetrated the glass, caused injuries to the woman seated inside. Reports confirm the victim was pregnant at the time of the incident.

The vehicle is manufactured by Tesla, the electric car company founded by Elon Musk.
