Police are looking for three suspects after an elderly woman was robbed in a Bowmanville grocery store Saturday.

Durham Regional Police said the woman was shopping in the meat aisle at a store near King Street and Simpson Avenue when she was approached by a man with a French accent. While she was distracted, police said, a female suspect “discreetly removed” a wallet from the victim’s purse.

Bank cards in her wallet were then used to purchase gift cards and cash withdrawals at a nearby store. Further investigation revealed there were three suspects involved in the distraction theft.

The first suspect is described as a white man with black hair, a black moustache and a black goatee beard. He was wearing a black jacket. The second suspect is a white female with a medium build. She was wearing a black head band, brown jacket, black shirt, black pants and white …
