Indecent act near Ontario city playground has naked man in custody [Video]

A naked man seen committing an “indecent act” near a public playground has landed a Pickering man behind bars.

Durham Police responded to a sex offence call Monday morning, just before 10 a.m. after witnesses observed a naked male standing outside a tent committing an indecent act near Valley Farm Road and Diefenbaker Court in Pickering.

Officers located the man a short time later and placed him in custody.

Further investigation revealed that the same suspect was involved in another incident on April 4, with a woman reporting that the man “chased after her” at a nearby plaza. The woman escaped into a building and the suspect went in another direction.

No physical injuries were reported.

Steven Gaudette, 37, is charged with committing an indecent act in a public place, criminal harassment, mischief and disobeying a court order.

He was held for a bail hearing.
