Up to 10 cm of snow is possible in parts of southern Ontario on Tuesday, Environment Canada says.

The weather agency indicated in its Tuesday outlook that some areas east of Lake Huron can expect to see 70 to 80 km/h wind gusts and blowing snow.

Local accumulations of five to 10 cm are possible, Environment Canada said.

It comes as parts of northern Ontario have been hit with much more snowfall.

Snowfall warnings were issued Monday for areas north of Lake Superior.

There, Environment Canada said up to 25 cm was possible.
