Health Canada has issued a food recall for a frozen rice dish sold in parts of the country after it was found to contain an undeclared milk allergen that could pose a serious risk to individuals with allergies or sensitivities.
The recall affects Seoulmama brand Shrimp Fried Rice (600 g), which was sold in British Columbia and Ontario and may have been distributed in other provinces and territories. The affected product has a UPC of 8 357470 002204 and a best-before date of October 20, 2026.
According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), test results confirmed the presence of milk in the product, which is not declared on the label. No allergic reactions have been reported to date, but consumers with a milk allergy are urged not to consume the product due to the risk of a potentially life-threatening reaction.
