Here’s when polls will be open on election day in Canada [Video]

Election day is now one week away in Canada.

Voters who didn’t already cast a ballot through one of the early voting options will be able to do so on election day, which is Monday, April 28.

Polls throughout the country will be open for 12 hours.

The specific hours vary depending on the time zone, Elections Canada notes on its website.

In the eastern time zone, polls will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Here is a look at the hours in the other time zones:

In ridings that span more than one time zone, one local time for voting is determined for the entire district, Elections Canada says.

Here’s a look at those districts, along with their voting hours for this election, according to the Elections Canada website:

  • Labrador: 8:30 – 8:30 NDT / 8:00 – 8:00 ADT
