A video capturing an unexpected hilarious twist on a boat journey in New York City has gone viral on TikTok.

The clip was shared by @ottilie.sees and has garnered over 719,000 views since it was posted on April 20. Text overlaid on the footage reads: “Ottilie, let’s go on the sunset cruise to the Statue of Liberty … the pics will be amazing.”

The video begins with a woman on the cruise, appearing relaxed while sitting under a serene sunset sky, with her hand placed on the edge of the boat. A view of the Statue of Liberty is shown in the distance across the water.
