Restaurants come and go, but some leave a bigger mark than others. From popular pizza spots to family-run eateries, a few familiar names closed their doors in Ontario this month.

One of Mississauga’s longest-running Pizza Pizza locations has closed after 18 years.

The Pizza Pizza inside Sheridan Centre, located at 2255 Erin Mills Parkway, appears to have permanently shut its doors. The location has been removed from the company website and marked closed on Google. A photo posted to Reddit shows the signage taken down.

The restaurant served a variety of pizza, wings, chicken bites, and fries, making it a familiar stop for shoppers and students over the years.

Online reactions reflect the restaurant’s long-standing place in the community, with many recalling visits during high school and mall outings.

It’s unclear what will replace the space, but another Pizza Pizza location remains open nearby at 2273 Dundas St. W.
