25 C temperatures and thunderstorms to hit southern Ontario this week [Video]

It looks like a mix of sunny days and scattered showers will carry southern Ontario into the first week of May, bringing warm afternoons and crisp, cool nights.

As of Sunday (April 27), sunny skies will hold throughout the day, with temperatures reaching a high of 17 C. Winds will gust up to 40 km/h before easing later in the afternoon. Skies will remain clear into the evening, with overnight lows dipping to 4 C under calm conditions.

Monday will start mainly sunny, with winds picking up near noon at 20 km/h. Temperatures will climb to a pleasant 16 C, with a high UV index of 7. Environment Canada recommends wearing sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses if you’re outside between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. By evening, skies will become partly cloudy, with winds gusting up to 40 km/h. Overnight lows will sit around 10 C.
