Two people were seriously injured in a stabbing in Niagara Region.
Emergency crews responded to a report of a disturbance at a home in St. Catharines around 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Niagara Regional Police said.
While en route, officers received further information indicating that two people had been stabbed and one person fled the scene.
Two men were found suffering from serious stab wounds. One victim was transported to a local hospital, while the other was airlifted by Ornge air ambulance to an out-of-region hospital.
Officers found a man walking near 45 Manchester Ave. and stopped him at 9:57 p.m.
Police later learned that three men were inside a unit at the residence when an argument escalated into violence, police said.
Ricardo Tabora, 33, of no fixed address, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
