Woman arrested after employee assaulted, hotel trashed in Ontario, police say [Video]

A woman has been arrested after part of a hotel was trashed and an employee was assaulted in Ontario on Wednesday, police say.

Guelph police said in a news release that officers were called just after 2:30 p.m. to a hotel in the area of Silvercreek Parkway North and Woodlawn Road West.

“An employee said she refused to rent a room to a woman, who became angry and threw a laptop, a garbage can and a jar of salsa at the employee causing a minor injury,” police said.

The employee then left the reception area to call police, the release said.

The woman threw food and drinks on the floor and smashed two computers, a printer and a phone, police said.

The suspect reportedly recorded the incident on her phone.

Police arrested the woman and brought her to a police station.

“She became aggressive and kicked an officer several times in the leg,” police allege.
