COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person is dead after a reported shooting in northeast Columbus on Thursday, police said.

Officers were called to a home in the 4800 block of Manitoba Road, located west of Cleveland Avenue, around 5:17 a.m. on a report of an unconscious person.

Police arrived and found a person shot in front of a home. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers recovered a weapon from the scene. Information about a possible suspect was not immediately available.
