We’ve arrived at another Made in Manitoba, and this weekend we are thrilled to introduce you to the Ontario based group Boreal, and music from their latest album “Winterbirds”.

The group is comprised of Katherine Wheatley, Angie Nussey and Tannis Slimmon, and it’s because of Tannis that Boreal is our guest this evening. Tannis grew up on a farm north of Oak Lake in Western Manitoba, attended high school in Virden and spent time living in Winnipeg before moving to Ontario.

That’s the set up for the trio joining us as we explore the beautiful harmonies of these three hard-working singer-songwriters, each with their own longstanding, award-winning careers. 

This is the first time Boreal has appeared on Made in Manitoba, and it seems fitting with “Winterbirds” being the first album the group has recorded with Angie being part of it.
