“Beyond The Rink: Behind the Images of Residential School Hockey” shines a light on the success and complex history of the 1951 Sioux Lookout Black Hawks hockey team from Pelican Lake Indian Residential School in northwestern Ontario. The book was co-authored by Janice Forsyth, a professor at the University of British Columbia and a member of Fisher River Cree Nation, located north of Winnipeg.
