Health Canada has expanded a recall involving children’s jewellery sold under the Boutique Chic brand after testing revealed dangerously high levels of lead.

The recall now includes the All Smiles Spinner Necklace, Bracelet, and Ring — all marketed to and designed for kids.

The recalled items feature colourful, gold-toned metal and a spinning smiley face charm that may appeal to young children. These products were sold across Canada from January to May 2025, with over 2,000 units distributed. All were manufactured in China and imported by Creative Education of Canada Inc., based in Point Edward, Ontario.

Health Canada’s testing program found that the jewellery contains lead levels above the 90 mg/kg legal limit for children’s items under the Children’s Jewellery Regulations in the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. It is illegal to import, sell or advertise children’s jewellery that exceeds this limit.
