Biennial North Omaha celebration to continue in July 2025 [Video]

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Native Omaha Days Festival is returning at the end of July, celebrating 48 years of memories, culture, and community spirit in North Omaha.

A release sent Tuesday says the celebration will take place for July 28 to August 4.

Organizers are gearing up for the biggest celebration to date, including the Native Omaha Days Homecoming Parade along North 30th Street, the Omaha Day Classic Golf Tournament, Blue Monday, and much more.

The parade is planned for the morning of July 28 between 10 am to noon, from 30th and Lake to 30th and Sprague.

The release says trolley tours, golf outings, live jazz and gospel music, class and family reunions, and children’s activities are all bound to happen in addition to the biennial celebration’s traditional fare.

Additions from the 2023 installmentthat are coming back include the Village Festival Square, including food trucks and local vendors, exhibits and book signings at the Great Plains History Museum, …
