Oshawa Power is urging customers to go paperless to avoid delays in receiving their electricity bills after unionized workers at Canada Post issued a strike notice.

A strike by Canadian Union of Postal Workers is set to begin this Friday.

Oshawa Power reminded customers they will remain responsible for ensuring their bills are paid on time to avoid late fees and interest charges in the event of a labour shutdown. By enrolling in MyOshawaPower paperless billing, customers will receive their bills instantly via email, eliminating the risk of delivery delays that may arise from the postal worker’s strike.
