A video about a couple’s vacation that nearly came to a screeching halt following a crucial discovery made the night before their departure has gone viral on TikTok.

The clip, posted by Cassie (@cassiesage), a creative director at Yahoo, has been viewed more than 4.5 million times since it was shared on May 14.

The video chronicles the moment her husband, Matt, who works in commercial real estate, revealed he couldn’t find his passport—just hours before their 6 a.m. flight to Mexico with their children.

“‘They are always in the safe,’ he promised. But, this time, they were not,” Cassie, who did not share her age, last name or location, told Newsweek.
