The summer travel season is nearly here and Airbnb has released its top travel spots for Canadians.

Domestic travel continues to grow. In 2024, Canadian Airbnb hosts welcomed nearly nine million domestic guest arrivals, a more than 40 per cent increase since 2019, according to the summer trends report.

Global locations, such as cities across Europe, are also increasingly popular for summer travel, the report found.

The year’s top trending Canadian destinations highlight everything from pristine wilderness to coastal charm, the report found.

Here are the top Canadian travel spots for summer 2025:

  • Magdalen Islands, Que. – Windswept beaches, dramatic cliffs and Acadian culture.
  • La Haute-Gaspésie, Que.– Scenic drives and hiking trails along the St. Lawrence.
  • Blue Mountain, Ont. – A year-round hub for outdoor fun and wellness.
  • Matawinie, Que.– Lakes, forests and rustic cabins just north of Montreal.
  • Waterton Park, Alta. – A rocky mountain gem with spectacular lakeside …
