Tyrell Howell, 28, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for distributing child porn. He is eligible for parole after serving five years.

BOISE, Idaho — A Burley man was sentenced to 25 years in prison for distributing child porn, Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced Wednesday. 

28-year-old Tyrell Howell, was convicted of two felony counts of sexual exploitation of a child by distributing sexually exploitative material, also known as child porn.

Cassia County District Judge Blaine Cannon sentenced Howell on May 19 to 25 years in prison and will be eligible for parole after five years. Howell must register as a sex offender. 

“There is no place in Idaho for those who trade in the vile exploitation of children,” said Attorney General Labrador. “This sentence reflects the seriousness of the crime and the commitment of my office to protect Idaho’s most vulnerable.
