TOLEDO, Ohio — In the latest development tied to the case of Anthony Emmanuel Labrador-Sierra, an Ohio lawmaker is urging Perrysburg Schools to investigate and document the immigration status of all students enrolled at Perrysburg High School.
State Rep. Josh Williams (R-Sylvania Township) sent a letter Wednesday to Superintendent Tom Hosler, formally requesting that the district track and maintain immigration records for each student “to the extent permitted under state and federal law.” The letter also requests information about the district’s internal investigation into the Labrador-Sierra case.
“I, along with many of my constituents, have serious concerns about how a person could present themselves as an unaccompanied minor and enroll into your school system with so much ease,” Williams wrote.
