A “massive store-closing liquidation sale” is happening now at a patio furniture business in Ontario that is closing after nearly 50 years.

General Products Outdoor Patio Furniture (GP Patio) has its showroom in Richmond Hill at 160 East Beaver Creek Road, which is near Highway 404 and Highway 7.

A news release from Danbury Global, a firm in asset disposition and retail liquidation, said that the store is closing as the business’ founding family retires.

The business was founded in 1979 by Sydney Brown.

“It was incredibly special to work alongside my father until his passing in 2017,” said second-generation owner Stuart Brown.

“Three generations of our family have worked in this business, and we’re proud to have served Canadians.”

There are discounts on the store’s entire inventory, including new and custom orders of loungers, dining sets, umbrellas, fire tables, and more, the release said.
