Border crossings were down nearly 22% year over year in April, according to the latest report from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. This trend follows comments from the White House about annexing Canada and imposing a 25% tariff on Canadian goods.The decrease in crossings is concerning for the North Country, especially as communities prepare for major events like the Can-Am Rugby Tournament and the Ironman, which bring Canadian participants to the region.
