If you’ve been waiting for clearer skies and a break from the rain, Sunday might finally deliver, though not without gusty winds across parts of southern Ontario.

Those hoping to catch the sunrise at 5:36 a.m. may need to wait a little longer for blue skies, with cloudy conditions expected early in the day.

Mississauga, Brampton and Halton will start out mainly cloudy, with skies clearing by the afternoon. Winds will pick up, reaching 30 km/h in Mississauga and Brampton and 20 km/h in Halton, with gusts of up to 50 to 60 km/h expected across the region. Daytime highs will reach 18 C.

Hamilton will see similar conditions with a high of 18 C and winds of up to 60 km/h by midday. Durham will begin the day under cloudy skies, transitioning to a mix of sun and cloud later in the morning. Winds in Durham may move up …
