Air quality warning in effect for part of Ontario [Video]

An air quality warning is in effect for part of Ontario as wildfires continue in Canada.

Environment Canada issued the warning for northwestern areas of the province with poor conditions either already occurring or expected.

“Smoke from wildfires in Manitoba and Ontario is expected to affect the area today and possibly into Wednesday,” the warning read.

“During heavy smoke conditions, everyone’s health is at risk regardless of their age or health status. Limit time outdoors. Reschedule or cancel outdoor sports, activities and events.”

While inside, individuals were advised to keep their windows and doors closed as much as possible and use a good-quality air filter in the home’s ventilation system and / or a portable air cleaner that filters fine particles.
