Cybersecurity hub receives long-term commitment from Brampton [Video]

Brampton will continue to be a hub for cybersecurity training in Canada.

The city has renewed a five-year, $5 million agreement with Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) to operate Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst (Catalyst) in downtown Brampton.

Under the renewed partnership, the Catalyst will enhance cybersecurity awareness, offer specialized training and provide targeted support to Brampton-based businesses and community organizations. This initiative is also geared to nurture local cybersecurity talent, bolster entrepreneurial ventures and energize community cybersecurity initiatives.

Established as a cornerstone of the Brampton Innovation District, the Catalyst is meant to position Brampton as a leading cybersecurity hub, especially within key sectors such as advanced manufacturing, smart infrastructure and automotive.
