BRIDGEPORT, W.Va(WDTV) – Good evening NCWV! We are currently under Air Quality Alert across the entirety of West Virginia until 10 PM tonight. This is caused by smoke from the Canada wildfires being carried by the frontal system that we are seeing enter NCWV. Rainfall and scattered storms began during the afternoon, mostly toward the mountains and near the Ohio River. These rain showers and storms continue to push into the lowlands this evening before clearing out for Friday during the early morning. These on and off rain showers and storms make a return toward the mid morning, before becoming very scattered toward the afternoon hours of Friday and once again returning toward the mid evening and continuing through Saturday in a scattered fashion.
