29-year-old man dies in a motocross race in Ontario [Video]

A 29-year-old man died in a motocross race accident in Niagara Region on the weekend.

Emergency crews were called to the Welland County Motorcycle Club, located at 603 Netherby Rd., around 11 p.m. on Saturday in response to a crash, Niagara Regional Police said on Monday.

The collision happened during a motocross bike race, police said.

St. John Ambulance paramedics responded to the crash immediately, followed by Niagara Emergency Medical Services and Welland Fire Department.

Despite life-saving efforts, thee 29-year-old Welland man succumbed to his injuries, police said.

Police didn’t name the man, but a GoFundMe campaign and the Welland County Motorcycle Club and Speedway identified the racer as Tyler Seguin.

“It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of Tyler Seguin, who lost his life in an accident at the track last night,” the club said in a social media …
