1 dead after dump truck crash in southern Ontario [Video]

One person is dead after a dump truck crash in southern Ontario on Tuesday.

Ontario Provincial Police said that at around 8:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle crash on Sideroad 11 in Centre Wellington.

A dump truck hit hydro pole and the driver, a 63-year-old resident of Waterloo, died at the scene, police said.

Hydro services were also called in as a result of the collision.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Anyone with information was asked to come forward.
