An economic investment of millions of dollars and a state-of-the-art manufacturing site is now open in Rockingham County. Farmina Pet Foods is making its first major manufacturing move to the United States right here in the Triad. The Italian company’s 150,000-square-foot facility is set to bring over 200 jobs to Rockingham County over the next five years and 70 of those roles have already been hired.The company told us settling in North Carolina was a no-brainer decision. “We received an incredible warm availability from authorities, we conducted a very thorough search in terms of logistics and labor availability, incentives and this became the most competitive site and we’re very happy we made the decision,” said Loris Rinaldi, CEO of Farmina.The Triad facility is set to distribute products to the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
