A cyberattack on a major organic food company is disrupting distribution nationwide. United Natural Foods says the company noticed unauthorized activity on its IT servers late last week, leaving products like eggs, yogurt and bottled water off the shelves Monday morning. The company supplies 300,000 stores in the U.S. and Canada, including Whole Foods in Albuquerque. A spokesperson for the Whole Foods Market has issued the following statement: “We are working to restock our shelves as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused for customers.” The company says disruptions may continue throughout the week.
