BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – Low pressure lifting to our northeast will continue to bring clouds and a few snow showers to communities bordering New Brunswick. These will clear out early this morning giving way to lots of sunshine for the rest of the day. Some slick roads will be possible as light snow accumulations will be possible on top of some icy spots.

As the low moves northeast, an area of high pressure will begin to build in from the west. This has developed a tight pressure gradient across the region resulting in strong northwest winds. The strongest gusts will be this morning with gusts that will reach up to 45 mph for some. As the day goes on, the pressure gradient will weaken slightly, and winds will gust to 30-35 mph by the afternoon. Wind chill values this morning will be on either side of 0° and will improve …
