“A number” of guns were seized after a youth threatened to “cause harm” at an Ontario school, police say.
York Regional Police said that last Wednesday (Dec. 18), officers went to a secondary school in York Region after a young person “threatened to bring a firearm and cause harm at the school.”
A search warrant was executed at the suspect’s home and “a number of firearms were seized,” police allege.
Officers didn’t name the school involved in the alleged incident.
A male youth has since been charged with uttering threats and possession of a restricted firearm without a licence.
