The results are in, Victoria!

For those of you familiar with the Fairmont Empress’ luxurious status and sought-after experiences, you will be pleased to know that it has ranked in yet another internationally acclaimed travel magazine. 

It has scored second Favourite City Hotel in Canada, and has been included in the prestigious list of 15 best Canadian hotels and resorts from Travel + Leisure’s (T+L) World’s Best Awards 2024 Readers’ Survey.

This survey is conducted every year, in which the magazine asks their readers to weigh in on travel experiences across the globe—sharing opinions on top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas and more. 

Over 186,000 T+L readers responded, and a total of more than 700,000 votes were cast across 8,700 properties. 

Each was rated on criteria related to the rooms/facilities, location, service, food and value. Readers could then choose a rating between excellent, above average, average, below average or poor.
