Edmonton police are warning the public about the release of a man who is accused of serially defrauding ATM users.

Tracey Reid, 55, faces four counts of fraud and one count of uttering a forged document for allegedly borrowing money from ATM users under the pretense of paying it back.

Police say between February and September of 2024, four people reported giving money to Reid, who said he had reached his withdrawal limit or his account had been frozen.

In total, the four victims have lost just under $2,000.

Edmonton Police Service released Reid’s photo Monday because they believe others could have been defrauded and that Reid is likely to offend again.
