Advance polls open across the Peace Region in the B.C. election [Video]

FORT ST. JOHN –Voters in B.C. can start casting their ballots for the provincial election, as advance polls across the Peace Region and the province opened Thursday.  

Advance polling stations are open from eight to eight. Voters can find the nearest location listed on their voter card in the mail. Cards were sent out in September, any cards that haven’t been received are likely backlogged at the post office.

There are 343 advance voting places across the province, although not all will open every day of the two advance voting periods which run from today until October 13th then on October 15th and 16th. Polls suggest a tight race between David Eby’s NDP and John Rustad’s B.C. Conservatives. Advance voting has played an increasing role in previous elections. Actual Election Day is next Saturday, October 19th.
