Advance voting is happening soon for the Canadian election [Video]

Election day in Canada is now just two and a half weeks away.

But for those who want to cast a ballot early, advance voting is one option — and that starts in just over one week.

Advance polls will be open from Friday, April 18 until Monday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.

A voter can find their advance polling location on their voter information card, or by using the voter information service online.

“If you choose to vote during advance polling days, you must vote at your assigned polling station,” Elections Canada says.

It’s also possible to vote early by attending any Elections Canada office by 6 p.m. on April 22.

There, electors can vote using the special ballot process.
