NOISE said they are working on an “extensive” report of Justin Baker’s case to give to the FBI.

SEQUOYAH COUNTY, Okla. — An advocacy group is pushing for continued search efforts and public awareness about Justin Baker’s disappearance, a 41-year-old Army veteran and citizen of the Cherokee Nation who was last seen in January. 

“We want awareness brought to Justin’s case that it is falling through the cracks,” Kassie Gullick with Northeastern Oklahoma Indigenous Safety & Education (NOISE) said. “When I say it’s falling through the cracks, I really mean that the tribe is failing, the state’s failing, local authorities are failing, and the federal government is failing.”

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Baker was the passenger of a vehicle that drove into the Arkansas River in Sequoyah County on Jan. 24. Two occupants of the vehicle were able to make it to land and were transported to a local hospital, where they were treated for their …
