After largest snowfall in two years, Mississauga braces for more of the white stuff [Video]

This week’s storm dumped an average of 30 cm of snow on Mississauga, the heaviest load in almost two years.

From the evening of Feb. 12 until the morning of Feb. 13, the skies opened up with some areas of the city exceeding the 30 cm mark over the 12 hours.

And more of that white stuff is on its way this weekend.

Environment Canada says Mississauga can expect additional snow accumulation tomorrow (Feb. 15) followed by more on Sunday and an increased chance of flurries on Family Day.

“This week has produced the most snowfall Mississauga has seen in nearly two years, and although streets continue to be cleared and residents slowly head back to normal routines, much more snow could hit us this weekend,” notes the City of Mississauga. “Forecasts are projecting an additional 25 to 40 centimetres between Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon.”
