A global technology company will use its Canadian headquarters in Oakville, Ontario, to establish an artificial intelligence (AI) hub that will focus on developing technologies to support electric vehicle (EV) battery production,

Siemens says it will invest $150 million to use AI to develop battery efficiency and refine the production process.

The research and development (R&D) centre will ultimately create 90 jobs for those who will work towards strengthening Ontario’s position in the EV battery supply chain as well as improving innovation across the sector.
