Fog in Atlantic Canada and strong winds along the Eastern seaboard of the United States have sparked a series of travel advisories.
Air Canada has issued 07MAR advisories for foggy conditions at YHZ, as well as Fredericton, Moncton, Saint John, St. John’s and Charlottetown.
It also posted strong wind advisories for BOS, LGA, JFK, EWR, DCA, IAD and PHI.
As of 8 a.m. on 07MAR, Flight Aware was not showing any major problems at the above airports, however, the YHZ website was showing scattered delays and one cancelled flight for the morning.
CBS News in New York said a “First Alert Weather Day” has been issued for the Tri-State Area (New York, Connecticut and New Jersey until 4 p.m. ET on 07MAR due to wind gusts of 65-80 kph.
