An Ontario community will get its first Princess Auto next month [Video]

A store that is a favourite of the do-it-yourself crowd has found a new home in an untapped Ontario market.

Princess Auto, a Canadian-owned retail chain that specializes in tools, equipment and hardware items, says it will open its first Burlington location on June 3.

The store is a favourite among people who work with their hands, according to Mike Kivell, Princess Auto’s Vice-President of Retail Operations for Ontario.

“Princess Auto customers are built differently: they may not dress fancy and might have grease on their hands, but they are part of the lifeblood of Canada that literally keeps our country running,” Kivell said. “There is probably a group of hard-working Canadians who are excited about having a Princess Auto location closer to home, but the truth is, we’re just as pumped to be here,” he said.
