Another blast of winter weather coming our way [Video]

After a few days of warmer weather, winter is making its return.

Environment Canada issued blowing snow and snow squall warnings for parts of the province on Wednesday.

The areas between Grand Bend, Stratford, Orangeville, Tobermory, Parry Sound, Huntsville and Kawartha Lakes could get between 20 and 80 centimetres of snow by Friday. Communities closer to Lake Huron and Georgian Bay will see those higher amounts, while Stratford is expected to get closer to 20 to 30 centimetres of the white stuff.

Blowing snow will also be an issue for drivers.

Environment Canada says winds are expected to reach 70 km/h on Thursday morning and, as the day goes on, those gusts will weaken.

The agency is warning of reduced visibility on the roads starting Wednesday and continuing through to Friday.

A blowing snow advisory has been issued for Waterloo, Kitchener, Cambridge, Baden, Wellesley, Linwood, Elmira, Maryhill and Ayr.
