After digging out from a big snowfall on the weekend, another blast of snow is expected this week in the GTA and southern Ontario.
The weekend snowfall in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area was the biggest of the season, according to the Weather Network. Snowfall totals from 10 to 15 cm fell over the weekend, the weather forecaster noted.
The snowfall delayed flights at Toronto Pearson Airport and slowed traffic across the area.
GTA residents can expect another big snowfall overnight on Wednesday into Thursday this week.
Environment and Climate Change Canada is forecasting snow Wednesday and Thursday for Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, Halton Region, Hamilton, Niagara Region and Durham Region.
Around 15 cm of snow could fall starting on Wednesday evening and continuing overnight into Thursday, according to the Weather Network. Wind gusts up to 45 km/h are also expected.
