Another winter storm in the U.S. could disrupt flights at Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga, Ontario.
On Monday, a deadly storm swept across the U.S. from Ohio Valley to the Mid-Atlantic. At least four people died and dozens were injured.
This new storm is expected to bring snow, ice and rain starting Wednesday night in western Texas, according to news reports. Similar conditions are expected in Oklahoma and Arkansas.
The storm will move across the southern states on Thursday and potentially eastern U.S. toward the end of the week.
The icy conditions could cancel or delay some flights. Some airlines are cancelling flights, Pearson Airport said in a post on X Thursday morning.
“If you’re flying to southern states today we recommend you check your flight status,” Pearson said.
Ontario residents are experiencing cold weather on Thursday. With the windchill, it feels like -20 C at Pearson Airport, according to Environment and Climate Change.
