It finally feels like spring is gaining ground in southern Ontario, with sunshine and warmer temperatures in the forecast for Sunday.

If you plan on heading outdoors, you might be able to swap your layers for lighter clothing, but don’t forget the sunglasses, hat and sunscreen!

Those up early for the 6:35 a.m. sunrise may catch a clear sky as the fog begins to lift.

The day starts sunny in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, Hamilton and Durham. Daytime highs will reach 13 C, and the UV index will climb to a high 6. Environment Canada advises sun protection between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Sunset begins at 7:56 p.m.

Skies will become increasingly cloudy overnight in Mississauga, Brampton and Halton, with a 40 per cent chance of rain. Temperatures will cool down but remain mild, dipping to a low of 6 C.
