Thursday could be a humid day with a high that could feel as warm as 29 C in the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario.

Environment Canada says Thursday will be mostly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers in the early morning hours.

There could be thunderstorms in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton and Oshawa, but conditions are expected to clear into the afternoon.

The mercury could reach 23 C in Mississauga or 20 C by the lake front, but will feel more like 27 C with the humidex, the weather agency says.

Winds will be blowing around 20 km/h gusting up to 40 km/h in the afternoon.

Into the evening, skies should start off clear in the GTA with increased cloud cover in the later hours with a low around 9 C.
