It could be a chilly day with strong winds and snow expected in the Greater Toronto Area and across southern Ontario.

Environment Canada says it will be a cloudy start to Tuesday with a 30 per cent chance of flurries in the morning and northwest winds blowing around 30 km/h gusting up to 50 km/h.

While seasonal normals are around 10 C, the daytime high on will be a cool -1 C that will feel more like -12 C with the wind chill in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Durham Region and the Niagara Falls area.

Cloudy conditions in the GTA are expected to clear into the evening with winds dying down around midnight. The overnight low will be around -7 C but will feel more like -12 C, the weather agency says.
